This book showcases photographs from the Engiadina by renowned Swiss photographer and alpinist Robert Bösch.
The format provides space for the works to be displayed at scale—for the reader to immerse in Bösch’s unique perspective of the drama of this alpine landscape. As a self-described ‘photograper, geographer and mountain guide’, his works are presented without interruption from captioning or additional editorial content. Instead, our design inserts only subtle page numbering and creates a thumbnail directory at the rear of the book for reference and for overview of the series as a sequence.
We selected the typeface Prophet for its echoes of mountain edges and angles, and use white and silver embossing in titling on the book cover. For a special edition of 30, we created a special folio case bearing Bösch’s signature on the front and back. This encloses the book alongside two signed archival prints.
