EXPLORE is an annual festival held in Geneva; ‘a programme of meetings, experiments, discoveries and exchanges to prompt the city of tomorrow’. We created a publication to capture the festival’s evolution over its first four years.

The book evokes Explore’s playfulness and surprise—the cover collides city forms printed on reversed bookbinding cloth while vibrant colours spill out through an exposed spine. Inside, these coloured sections code our chapters and these forms arrange themselves into four distinct geometric grids.

Texts from contributors and visitors follow these structures freely, turning corners and flowing into unexpected arrangements. Imagery captures events and activities in full progress—a celebration of live-ness.
