Working in collaboration with six selected student designers from the faculty — Amy Webster, Barbara Ryan, Katia Hall and Oliver Long — a central idea of ‘ a spirit of celebration’ was developed by transforming everyday objects in a joyful way. The show website acted as the hub of the publicity with a wall of animated gifs — squirting ketchup, extending binoculars, inflating marigold gloves — which in turn prompted a semi-transparent fold-out poster/invitation, boisterous typographic signage and spinning 3D animations for visitors to interact with on-site .
